Types of braces

The doctors at Associated Orthodontists utilize the most comfortable, efficient and technologically advanced braces available.  Due to today’s technology, there are many options in the types of braces available to patients.  The numerous options allow braces to easily fit into your lifestyle and needs.

    • Metal Braces
Metal braces are the most widely used type of braces.  They are very strong and can withstand most types of treatment.

    • Clear Braces
Ceramic braces or clear braces are made of composite material.  They are more often chosen by adult patients because they “blend in” with your teeth.
    • The Damon System
The Damon System is not just a new product; it's a whole new way of treating patients. Conventional treatment often requires removal of healthy teeth and/or the use of palatal expanders to make space. This approach is often uncomfortable, takes longer, and can leave a narrower arch and a flat profile. Damon smiles are full, natural 10-tooth smiles achieved with light biologically-sensible forces, and are specifically designed to improve the overall facial result of each patient.
    • Invisalign
Invisalign is “braces” that consist of strong plastic trays that are fabricated especially for you.  Invisalign is truly invisible; no one will know that you are wearing braces.
