It is with bittersweet emotions that Associated Orthodontists announces the retirement of Dr. Michael Casey. A 36-year partner with the organization, Dr. Casey will be departing the practice in December of this year.
A graduate of both Loyola University and the University of Illinois, Dr. Casey joined Associated Orthodontists in 1985, practicing with the founding partners of the group — Dr. George Osterberger, Dr. Henry Peterson and Dr. Donald Carollo. As the original three doctors entered into their own retirements, Dr. Casey helped Associated Orthodontists grow with the additions of Dr. David Cortopassi, Dr. Scott Soderquist, Dr. Pat Jones, and most recently, Dr. Tyler Ramir. Today, Associated Orthodontists is the area’s leader in orthodontic care for children, teens and adults with six locations and over 50 employees.
“My decision to retire was not an easy one since Associated Orthodontists has been part of my life for 36 years, “ said Dr. Casey. “I appreciate how lucky I am to have met all the wonderful patients and families over the years, in addition to working with their dentists and other dental professionals! I’ve also had the privilege of working with the best partners and team members in the world — and I consider all of them my family.”
For his next chapter, Dr. Casey is looking forward to staying active with traveling, bike riding, snow skiing and passing on the goodwill he has received. He also is excited about spending more time with his wife, Paris, their son, Neal, and twin daughters, Natalie and Lea.
